Beta Mu chapter of Phi Sigma Pi was founded on February 23, 1994, by Derek Simmons.
Beta Mu's father chapter is Rho, located at the University of DC, and its grandfather chapter is Alpha Tau, located at Howard University.
The first class (Genesis) consisted of:
Jeanne Lowiec, Matt Kolodny, Guatam Gulati, Jason Burdette, Diana Rubin, and Sun Soorya.
